Go to recovery mode.

To get to recovery mode, you’ll need to turn off your phone. Then press and simultaneously hold the volume up key and the Bixby key (with a square on it). When your phone turns off, release both keys. You should see a blue menu on the left side of your screen and an empty box on the right side.

You now want to select the Wipe Data/Factory Reset option.

> Yes–delete all user data.

Your phone will reboot, and you’ll be on the welcome screen again. You should be able to start using your phone at this point, but if it still has issues, please continue reading!

Choose YES– delete all user data.

When you select YES, deleting, all user data will begin. This is a one-off process and must be completed.

reboot system now

If you’ve accidentally deleted text messages, the best thing to do is reboot your phone. This will take a few minutes and might seem annoying, but it’s the only way to recover deleted text messages on your Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

When your phone reboots, check that all your messages have been restored. Suppose there are missing conversations or items from the list above (such as Google contacts). In that case, you’ll need to perform a factory reset by holding down Power and Volume Up simultaneously for about 10 seconds until you see the Android robot with a yellow exclamation mark on its screen. From here, continue holding down both buttons until “reboot system now” appears in large letters on the net. Press Volume Up twice and then press Power once more; if done correctly, this should allow you to reset everything back to how it was before without losing anything significant in personal data or photos/videos saved locally in storage areas such as app caches, etcetera).

You can recover deleted text messages by using the steps above.

First, you’ll want to launch the Messages app.

If you don’t already have a chat thread open, tap on one of the conversation bubbles at the bottom of your Home screen; this will bring up a list of recent conversations.

Once you’ve selected one, tap on an individual message in that thread (or select multiple messages if desired).

Your Galaxy Note 8 is an excellent device for texting, but if you accidentally delete all your text messages, they’re only gone for a while. You can quickly recover them by following the steps above. Remember that this process will only work if you have yet to save any other information on the device since deleting your messages (which will cause them to be overwritten). Otherwise, there’s no way around having to back up everything first before trying these steps!
